If you want to build up your mailing list, the best thing you can do is to have a signup form on every site page. This is so important and many people forget this simple tip. All throughout your site, no matter the page, include the sign up form. This way, people don't have to go searching for it in order to sign up. Also, you'll find that people are more likely to sign up if they see the form several times.
